Our Story
Where we started
The founders of Squirrels LLC joined forces in 2008 in North Canton, Ohio, to form a company called Napkin Studio. Together, they released one of the first apps in the brand new Apple App Store. Napkin Studio created several successful apps and completed contract work for partners from coast to coast.
Reflector & AirParrot
The company released two of the first screen-mirroring apps — Reflector and AirParrot — into a new, untapped market. The apps were a hit, and Napkin Studio became Squirrels as our focus shifted to wireless collaboration and presentation technology.
Ditto
Squirrels launched Ditto to deliver a more powerful, scalable AV solution for schools and businesses. Ditto gave organizations new ways to do more with their screens, combining wireless collaboration, digital signage and on-screen alerts into a single, centrally managed platform for IT teams.
Volaris
Squirrels joined Volaris Group, a global acquirer and operator of vertical market software companies. The acquisition aligned Squirrels with a broader portfolio of technology businesses and strengthened its ability to grow for the long term.
Today
Squirrels continues to redefine what schools and businesses can do with the screens they rely on every day. We’ve come a long way since the beginning...and we’re just getting started.
