Finance Manager
Reporting to the CEO, this role leads and manages all financial aspects for Squirrels. The finance manager is responsible for ensuring the timely closing of monthly, quarterly and annual accounting activities and preparation of financial statements. It is expected the finance manager will collaborate closely with the CEO and various department leads to help them understand the financial performance of their teams and the company overall.

This is a hybrid position—it will require a physical presence at times.
Responsibilites
- Work with the CEO and department leads to finalize, deliver and present quarterly forecasts for the company with a goal of +/- 5% forecast accuracy
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPI) for all departments; Monthly communication of financial performance is expected, including the creation of scorecards and other reports; This includes aspects of the business such as growth, profitability, bookings, backlog, attrition, etc
- Ensure compliance with necessary accounting principles (US GAAP, IFRS, etc.).
- Review significant customer RFP responses and quotes, and provide insight on pricing, as well as review of final customer contracts to assess accounting impact in accordance with relevant accounting principles
- Review, adjust and maintain a strong finance internal control environment
- Oversight of monthly, quarterly, semi-annual and annual sales-and-use tax or business tax filings, as well as periodic Secretary of State filings in the USA
- Oversight of the treasury- and cash-forecasting process
- Assistance to and ad-hoc assignments from the CEO
- Prioritize day-to-day work independently with little instruction
- Some travel may be required; Candidate must be able to travel globally
Necessary Background and Requirements
- Accounting diploma or equivalent is ideal
- Thorough understanding of US GAAP for software revenue is ideal; Understanding of IFRS 15 is a bonus
- Advanced skill in Microsoft Excel is a must
- Experience with systems including Great Plains, QuickBooks, Salesforce and HubSpot is beneficial
- Five years of related finance manager job experience
Compensation and Additional Details
Salary: 65,000-80,000 USD commensurate
This position is hybrid. Some time may be required in person.
