Squirrels is seeking hardworking, trustworthy employees to assist in the assembly of electronic goods. These employees will be responsible for the assembly, testing, documenting and warehousing of various electronics.

Responsibilities:

  • Assemble subassemblies and/or final product following instructions from schematics and prints
  • Assemble hardware/boards and/or units
  • Test, label, package and deliver finished products to order or stock
  • Inspect and test wiring installations, assemblies and circuits
  • Adjust, repair or replace electronic component parts to correct defects and to ensure conformance to specifications
  • Read and interpret schematic drawings, blueprints, work orders and reports to determine materials requirements and assembly instructions
  • Mark and tag components so that stock inventory can be tracked and identified
  • Position, align and adjust work pieces and electrical parts to facilitate wiring and assembly
  • Complete, review and maintain production and time reports as directed
  • May confer with supervisors or engineers to plan and review work activities and to resolve production problems
  • May explain assembly procedures or techniques to other workers
  • Assemble simple to sophisticated electronic assemblies per instruction
  • Use of common test equipment, including voltmeters and specific product testers
  • Requires excellent hand-eye coordination, attention to detail, high efficiency and ability to follow process instructions
  • Use of hand tools and other light machinery as directed

Qualifications:

  • Ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment to meet quality and quantity standards
  • Experience using schematic diagrams or blueprints and ability to follow other written or verbal instructions
  • Mechanically inclined with good dexterity - able to use both hand and power tools
  • Able to quality check finished product and send unsatisfactory items to rework
  • Proven experience with safe production standards
  • Stable work history
  • Willing to perform repetitive tasks while sitting or standing for extended periods of time
  • Basic math may be required for computing quantities and simple addition and subtraction for counting parts
  • Must be able to read and follow detailed manufacturing instructions
  • Ability to lift at least 50lbs

Bonus Experience:

  • Previous experience with placing, wiring, soldering and connecting PC boards and/or units
  • Experience in the manufacturing industry, preferably complex electro-mechanical with thermal designs in consumer electronics
