Demand Generation Manager

As the demand generation manager for Squirrels, you will be responsible for planning, executing and optimizing multi-channel campaigns that generate leads and pipeline growth. This position joins well-established marketing and sales teams to own paid digital channels and paid user-acquisition strategies. It is hands-on and will work closely with marketing and sales team members to deliver cohesive, data-driven campaigns that show results. As the person in charge of paid strategy, it is not only your responsibility to drive ideas and strategy, but also to execute, measure, iterate and repeat. As the first dedicated paid-channel manager, it is an opportunity to grow, learn and become a leader while building and implementing your own processes, team and framework for success.

You are the first to fill this role, so keeping an eye on new trends and trying new ideas, tactics and platforms is a must. You will have full autonomy to forge a path into the unknown and try new things. It is important to be comfortable with quick tests and working fast to make the ideas stronger. You will create full funnels and report on them while taking responsibility and improving under-performing campaigns. It is important to accept the failures along with the successes. This role is critical as Squirrels shifts from mainly organic growth to paid lead-generation strategies. 

The correct person for this job has a hunger to try new things, grow and thrive. Acronyms like CPM and words like persona are already part of your lexicon. You're able to write fluently without errors, and you're a HubSpot or Salesforce superuser. 

Responsibilities:

  • Own and execute demand generation strategies on digital paid platforms
  • Brainstorm, create, measure and iterate for multiple mediums
  • Regularly optimize campaigns to continue driving the correct audience
  • Monitor, analyze and report on campaigns
  • Find new ways to optimize conversion funnels
  • Create multiple pieces and steps of campaigns including emails, landing pages and automation workflows
  • Investigate new channels and trends
  • Manage the paid demand-generation budget
  • Write and experiment with ad copy

Requirements:

  • Deep knowledge of advertising platforms including Google AdWords, LinkedIn Ads, Facebook Ads, G2, etc.
  • Knowledge of analytics and engagement platforms like HubSpot, Google Analytics, HotJar and Salesforce
  • Familiarity with measurement tools like Excel, pivot tables and SQL
  • Extremely strong writing and editing skills
  • Comfort communicating and delivering reports and presentations 
  • Comfort working autonomously
  • Ability to understand and communicate technical concepts
