  • Macbook Pro (Mid/Late 2007 or newer)
  • Mac Mini (Early 2009 or newer)

Mac audio-sharing requirements Sending audio from Mac requires third-party audio drivers to be installed. We have tested with the AirParrot audio drivers and Soundflower. Soundflower is supported by OS X 10.9 and up. AirParrot audio drivers are supported on OS X 10.8 and up.

Network recommendations We recommend hardwiring the receiving device (Apple TV, Chromecast, Reflector 2) to the network when possible. Chromecasts seem to have sensitive Wifi adapters that often drop connections.

Note – Ditto supports separate VLANS as long as those networks can communicate with each other.

Ditto configuration utility requirements The Ditto configuration utility requires the same minimum requirements as the applications listed above. In addition, the network must support multicast traffic like mDNS and Bonjour to properly search for and discover receivers.
